Story behind this placard: We made these for a Seattle propeller shop who, every summer gets an anxious marine operator call that goes like this: “We’re up north and hit a rock. Can you send replacement parts by seaplane?” Reply: “Yes; what do you need?” Answer: “New propeller, shaft, coupling, and gearbox…just like the one you built for us twenty years ago!” Twenty years ago? The shop’s product served well, but….
